An ideal prop for anyone in need of extra R&R this season. Adding weight to your body in restorative postures can assist the body in entering a deep state of relaxation. I love using these in restorative poses ranging from balasana (child’s pose), to viparita karani (legs up the wall — the sandbag goes on top of the feet in this pose), or over the abdomen in savasana.
From the website: “Each bag is made of high-quality packcloth with an inner coating that prevents dust and sand from escaping through the thick brushed cotton fabric or moisture-resistant nylon fabric. Our bags have two natural colored sturdy handles that make it convenient to position and carry.”
